All the Bookshop’s titles are shelved by subject area for easy searching. Please refer to the list below to discover the range of subject areas you can search by to find a specific title or a general area of interest. Within large subject areas like Fiction, books are ordered alphabetically by using the author’s surname. While books in the Biography section are arranged by the  subject person’s name; not the author’s.

Sometimes you may also need to look in two areas for the same item. For example art magazines may be located with the Art books or in the Magazine section. And you might find Marx in philosophy and/or world politics; or World War I histories in History/Military History and Australiana. Of particular note are Fantasy and Science Fiction books which can be found in their eponymous area as well as on clearly marked shelves in the Teens and Young Adult Fiction area.
